Q: Where is The Flying Cupcake Bakery located?
A: We have THREE LOCATIONS to serve you and a FOURTH LOCATION COMING SOON:
Downtown Indy: 715 N. Massachusetts Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204
Midtown Indy: 5617 N. Illinois Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46208
Northside Indy/Carmel: 831 S. Rangeline Road, Suite 300, Carmel, Indiana 46032

Q: What are the hours of operation?
A: All three locations are Open 7 days/week at the following hours:
Sunday: 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Monday-Wednesday: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
Thursday- Saturday: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
We are open every day of the year except the following holidays: New Year’s Day, July 4th,Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and December 26th
Q: Can I place my order online?
A: In order to preserve the individualized service we offer our customers, we do not accept orders online at this time.
Q: Do you make cupcakes for special dietary needs?
A: Yes! We offer a gluten free and vegan option every day. Sorry, we do not offer sugar free cupcakes at this time. While we do offer loads of cupcakes options without nuts, we cannot guarantee that these items do not contain trace elements of nut products as they have been prepared in equipment used to prepare baked goods containing nut products.
Q: Do you make baby “mini” cupcakes?
A: Yes we do, but they are only available as a pre-ordered special order. You may order any non-filled flavor in mini-size for your special event! Please order a minimum of one dozen mini cupcakes/flavor with a two dozen total mini order minimum.
Q: How far in advance should I place my order?
A: Call us at 317-396-2696 or stop by any of our locations to place your special order. Our staff will work with you to create your custom cupcake order! Usually, we can accommodate almost any order. But on occasion our special order calendar fills up. Therefore, we recommend that you place your order well in advance of your special event (the earlier the better!).
Q: What is the minimum order for special orders of your cupcakes?
A: Order whatever flavors you like, but all flavors that you order must be in quantities of 6/flavor and a minimum of one dozen/custom order.
Q: Can you write on the cupcakes?
A: Yes we can as long as you order in advance and order a minimum of one dozen cupcakes. Unfortunately, we cannot write on cupcakes at time of purchase as our decorators are busy working hard on all of our custom orders.

Q: Do you make wedding cakes?
A: Sorry, we can not.
We specialize in wedding cupcakes and not wedding cakes. We can, however, bake and decorate a special 6” bride and groom cake for your topper that will rest at the top of your cupcake tier.
Q: Do you deliver?
A: The Flying Cupcake offers delivery service for any order of 2 dozen cupcakes or more for a fee. We offer delivery within a ten mile radius from our Carmel location for a minimum fee of $35.00, with exact and total costs depending on total driving distance and the size of your order. Q: Do you ship cupcakes outside of Indianapolis?
A: The Flying Cupcake does not ship at this time.

Q: Can The Flying Cupcake cater my event?
A: Yes…definitely! We offer off-site drop off catering for any size event. This service includes delivery and set up per your requests and specifications. Let us help you celebrate any and all types of occasions including weddings, bridal and baby showers, birthdays, graduations, bat/bar mitzvahs, anniversaries, corporate events, graduations or just because! Let us create unique and beautiful dessert tables and cupcake trees for your special event! Q: Do you offer a discount for bulk orders?
A: You always receive a price break when you order by the dozen. We also offer a CORPORATE DISCOUNT for our customers needing larger quantities (2 dozen or more) on a regular basis (weekly or bi-weekly). Our Corporate Discount program is perfect for Pharmaceutical Reps, Office Managers, or any other customer needing large quantities frequently.

Q: What do you do with the cupcakes that you don't sell by the end of the day?
A: The Flying Cupcake donates all cupcakes which haven't sold by the end of the day to the Wheeler Mission. We have done so for years in an effort to provide something special for Indy's homeless population.
Q: Can The Flying Cupcake donate to my charity?
A: The Flying Cupcake proudly donates to a variety of local charities and not-for-profit organizations. Because we donate a lot of cupcakes and dough (no pun intended), we cannot respond to every request with a donation (or sometimes at all). If you wish to request a donation, we ask that you send your donation request in writing to our Carmel location. Please do not solicit for your donation in person. Q: Is The Flying Cupcake really Indy’s Original Cupcake Bakery?
A: Yep. Actually, it was the first in Indiana when it opened in 2007. While others have followed, the Flying Cupcake remains the local favorite to Hoosiers and visitors to Indianapolis alike.
Q: Do you franchise?
A: No we don't. The Flying Cupcake is 100% locally owned and operated.
Q: Who owns The Flying Cupcake?
A: The Flying Cupcake is owned by Kate Bova Drury, Indianapolis native, wife to Cameron, and mother to her three little cupcakes (Keegan, Henry, and Naomi). Kate also owns local shoppers’ favorite Girly Chic Boutique, which is located in the heart of Broad Ripple at 922 E. Westfield Blvd., Indianapolis.
